Although fall officially started almost a month ago, the weather, fish and fishing patterns have yet to fully accept that fact. But, heading into the third weekend of October, forecasts are calling for the first true fall weather to settle over the Texas Coast. This is good news for anyone who likes shallow water fishing. The increasingly shorter days coupled with the first real front should help push fish into the shallows and ratchet up their aggressiveness. Once the wind and rain down down after this front, expect topwater action and sight-casting opportunities
to increase dramatically.
